It's been a year since Manchester United suffered a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool.
A lot has changed at Old Trafford since then. United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked within a month of that loss and his successor Ralf Rangnick was replaced by Erik ten Hag in May. New players were signed in the summer and the Red Devils are starting to look like a decent team again. They're still sixth in the Premier League, mind you.
But what's happened to Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic? A report suggested the dressing room were unhappy about how Solskjaer was treating the trio, as they all struggled for minutes under the Norwegian. Here, Mirror Football finds out.
Donny van de Beek
Believe it or not, Van de Beek is still on the books at Old Trafford. Many pundits hoped the former Ajax midfielder, now 25, would break into United's team after Solskjaer's departure, as he started just four Premier League games under the sacked boss.
Yet a change of manager didn't change Van de Beek's fortunes. Rangnick shipped him out on loan to Everton in January and he played just seven Premier League games during an underwhelming spell. A frustrating thigh injury hampered his progress at Goodison Park.
Hopes were even higher for Van de Beek when Ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford in the summer. The Netherlands international was part of Ten Hag's Ajax side that won the Eredivisie title and KNVB Cup in 2018-19, playing 57 games in all competitions that term.

But Van de Beek has played just three Premier League games this season, all of which were substitute appearances. An injury has kept him out of action since August, although a return to fitness is close. It'll be interesting to see what happens when he's returns.
"He has to be fit," said Ten Hag earlier this month when asked about Van de Beek's fitness and future. "Obviously, that is his disadvantage. He is now for two and a half years here so he had a pre-season that was quite okay and his chances will come.
"When he came on against Brighton as a sub he did very well but you have to be available. And if you are not available you cannot get a place in the first XI and so now he has to make sure he gets fit and fights for his position."
Jesse Lingard
Lingard went on to play just 22 games in all competitions last season and decided to leave United when his contract expired in the summer. He was tipped to join West Ham, the club he scored nine goals in 16 Premier League games for during a loan spell in 2020/21.
A lucrative move abroad was also discussed, yet Lingard, now 29, joined newly promoted Nottingham Forest on a one-year deal. "The manager and owners have been great with me - they've shown the love and intent to get me to the club," he told BBC Sport.
"When I see that sort of love, of course I am going to say yes, but it had to be the right deal for me and my family. I can see the project they're building and it's going to look good this season. I feel a positive vibe around the camp."
It's fair to say the transfer isn't going to plan. Lingard hasn't scored a single goal or provided an assist for Forest this season, as his new team sit rock bottom of the Premier League. He needs to start firing soon, or else his legacy in Nottingham won't be a good one.
Nemanja Matic
Unlike Van de Beek and Lingard, things are going rather well for Matic. The Serbian midfielder, now 34, regained his spot under Rangnick and featured in 11 of their final 12 Premier League games last season before being granted a free transfer by the club.
Matic went on to sign for Roma in the summer to reunite with Jose Mourinho, his former boss at Chelsea and United. "We know each other very well," said Matic in July. "I am very happy to be here with him again and he was one of the reasons why I chose Roma.
"Roma, as a club, is attractive to players and also to me, and I am very happy to be part of this big club. Only Frank Lampard has more games with Jose than me and I will try to break his record."
Matic is flourishing in the Italian capital, as he's played every game in Serie A and the Europa League this season. The veteran will not be part of Serbia's squad for this year's World Cup in Qatar after hanging up his international boots in August 2020.
Roma are doing well in Serie A - sitting fifth in the table and within touching distance of the top four - although their European campaign isn't going to plan. Mourinho's side are third in their group and need to win at HJK on Thursday to keep their hopes alive.
