Three military horses from the prestigious Household Cavalry have been recovered after bolting through central London on Monday morning. The incident occurred during a routine exercise conducted by five soldiers with six horses from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. The lead horse, which was being led rather than ridden, was spooked by a passing London bus, causing it to bolt.

As a result of the sudden fright, the lead horse and two riders were separated from the group, leading to a chaotic scene as the animals ran freely through the streets of the capital. Fortunately, all three horses were swiftly and safely recovered by the soldiers.

An Army spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that one of the horses sustained minor injuries during the ordeal. However, the injured horse did not require further treatment, and there were no reported injuries to the soldiers involved in the incident.

This event bears a resemblance to a similar occurrence that took place in April, highlighting the unpredictable nature of working with animals, especially in urban environments. The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment is renowned for its ceremonial duties and precision training, making this unexpected incident a rare but notable occurrence.
