The feelings of 'New Year, New Me' may be flagging but with spring approaching and the days getting longer there are more excuses to get out and enjoy pushing the fitness regime once again.
And a new study has just revealed the most scenic running routes from around the UK, and Scotland in particular, with seven parks and forests being named.
The study by New Balance named the most picturesque spring running locations and three are found in or around Glasgow, meaning you can get out and enjoy a run in some spectacular scenery.

A spokesperson for the brand said: "With temperatures rising and the clocks going forward next month, many will be ready to move their daily exercise outside again, so why not get a boost of dopamine while out for your daily run by choosing one of Scotland’s most scenic running routes."
1. The West Highland Way
The New Balance team said: "The most Instagrammable Scottish running location was discovered to be the West Highland High, which was hashtagged 136,038 times on Instagram and it's no wonder with some spectacular highland scenery on offer."
Obviously, it would be daft to try and follow the whole route for a run from Glasgow but a short hop to the start at Milngavie is well worth it.
The beginning of the route is marked with an obelisk on Douglas Street in the centre of the town, here you can follow it to the stunning scenery of Mugdock Country Park.
Kelvingrove Park
The New Balance team said: "Situated on the banks of River Kelvin with a view of historic buildings as Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, this park is a really good start for a spring run while soaking in the dopamine-worthy views.
"The park itself isn’t very big, so runners looking for a longer route would have to go outside of the park. However, those looking for an easy route or beginners looking for a less challenging run could follow the 2.18 km park loop, starting just across the river’s bridge."
Pollock Country Park
The New Balance team said: "The largest park in Glasgow, is a beautiful place to enjoy a spring run, and it’s big enough to have mountain bike trails. It’s also big enough to be the home of the famous pollock highland cattle fold- but don’t worry, they are fenced!
"Fans of the popular TV show Outlander can take some dedicated selfies here as a lot of outdoor scenes were filmed here too.
"You can try the pleasant 5 km loop park run that features the famous Highland Cows and The Burell Collection."
