Three dogs died after a blaze ripped through dog kennels.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service was called to a dog kennels on Moss Lane in Banks, near Southport, at around 2pm following reports of a blaze.
One fire engine from Ormskirk, one from Tarleton and two fire engines from Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene, where they found the kennels well alight.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, three jets and one hose reel to put out the blaze.
A triple extension ladder was also used by the fire service, who were in attendance at the kennels for four hours.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed three dogs died in the fire.
A spokesperson from the force said: "At 13.57pm on 10th February, one fire engine from Ormskirk, one from Tarleton and two fire engines from Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended an incident on Moss Lane in Southport.
"The incident involved a dog kennels which was well alight when crews arrived.
"Sadly, three dogs have died."
