Thousands of protestors took to the streets across Ireland today to call for government action to control prices.
The protest was called for by the Cost of Living Coalition - which includes Sinn Féin, People Before Profit, Dublin Council of Trade Unions, and others.
In Dublin, hundreds gathered today in Parnell Square to urge the government to take action.
A protestor and People Before Profit member Dave O'Keeffe told the Irish Mirror that people across the country struggle with the increase in utility bills.
Food and petrol prices have increased meanwhile wages, and social welfare haven’t increased.
People have to choose between here and their homes in putting the food on their tables.
“The government and Leo Varadkar have to do something; we can’t wait till the new budget”, he added.
