Many Aldi customers were delighted to see the long-awaited return of their iconic Hanging Egg Chair, a perfect patio purchase for those looking to keep up with the rattan-style trend.
The chair, which costs £189.99, or £199.99 with a cover, went on sale at 8am this morning (Sunday, February 13), with thousands of interior design-conscious customers excitedly waiting their turn in the queue.
As reported by Wales Online, more than 24,000 eager shoppers found themselves stuck in a queue on Aldi's website - - with one shopper even eagerly getting up at 4am in a bid to nab one.
But unfortunately, some were left a little bit disappointed after the egg-shaped chair sold out in 45 minutes flat.

Just over 10 minutes after the chair went on sale, customers were greeted with the following message: "You're in the queue. We're very sorry but there are currently lots of people trying to access the Aldi website".
The message continued: "We've automatically placed you in a queue. Don't worry about refreshing – this page will update automatically as soon as you enter the site.
"New Aldi garden products on sale now: limited stock, form an orderly queue. Heads up, during busy times order confirmation emails can take a few hours to pop up in your inbox".
Others simply found themselves staring down a frustrating error message as heavy traffic swamped the supermarket's website. By just 8:45 am, shoppers were no longer able to pop the chair in their virtual trolley.
However, there were plenty of success stories, with many who'd failed to bag a chair the last time around leaving the queue triumphant.
One jubilant woman tweeted: "11491 in the queue ahead of me. Can only mean it’s Egg Chair day!! And I got one! After 4 years of trying. Yes yes yes. Happy Valentine's to me. Happy Sunday to me. The cats are going to have to fight me for it".
Another whooped: "What a day today. After 2 years of trying I finally managed to buy…..…..Drum roll, please…… An Aldi Egg chair!!!"
Sadly, not everybody was in a celebratory mood. One shopper, having pulled an "all-nighter" ahead of the egg launch, logged on at 4am and then 6am but still found themselves missing out, with the chair out of stock by the time they reached the front of the queue.
