Thousands of homes across Glasgow without water as burst main causes severe flooding

Homes across Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire have been left without water after a burst main caused severe flooding.

Firefighters and police are currently on the scene of the burst water main at the junction of Auchenhowie Road and the A81 in Milngavie.

The force of the water appears to have ripped the tarmac from the road, causing major flooding and prompting a rescue operation by emergency services.
