Thousands are braced to face potentially muddy conditions at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival with Nelly Furtado and En Vogue set to perform on Saturday.
Grass at Brockwell Park was pictured looking yellow even before fans arrived for the first day of the weekend event despite sunny weather and 22C temperatures forecast.
The event was given the go-ahead on Friday after previous events had turned it into something of a mud bath.
Brockwell Park had hosted four events over the Bank Holiday - Project 6, Wide Awake, Cross The Tracks and City Splash - with local residents saying they left the ground “churned up”.
Rita Ora and Jessie Ware are the headliners for Sunday - for which tickets are low.
The mud. The wind. The cover up! An awful feeling about the cruel mighty hoopla plagues thee. You’re all attending at your own risk pic.twitter.com/lKGvrzGN3x

Fans making their way to the sold out event were showing off their fancy dress on Saturday morning but there were other words of caution with wellies back in vogue.
“Everyone needs to get away from murder valley aka Brockwell Park,” one wrote on Twitter.
“It’s going to take more than a few wood chippings to disguise the mudslide inferno that’ll commence if you do.
“One wrong footstep and it’ll be finito. Mighty hoopla? Mighty Death Trap more like.”
Gary tweeted: “Never seen so many people in glitter wearing wellies on a tube before #mightyhoopla.”

Tony Bird shared a photo of a hastily re-ordered outfit which he had adapted to make it more “mud and cold friendly”.
Adrian Gibson shared a picture of a sign warning of the adverse conditions but said he expected the good advice to be ignored.

The Met Office has said it will likely stay dry this afternoon - although that may not be enough to offset the mud of Brockwell Park.
Marco Petanga, of the weather agency, said: “Across the south there could be sunshine and even temperatures rising to 21C, or 22C, this afternoon.”
