More than 7,000 individuals have been evacuated from the Kharkiv region, as confirmed by the head of the region's military administration on Tuesday. The evacuations primarily occurred in the Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts, with the assistance of volunteers.
Additionally, the Sumy region, which shares a border with Kharkiv, has initiated a 'voluntary evacuation' for several towns experiencing heightened attacks. The Sumy regional military administration, in a statement on Telegram, specified that residents of Bilopillia and Vorozhba are being urged to evacuate, particularly families and children.
The head of the Sumy region's military administration emphasized that this evacuation is voluntary and aims to ensure the safety of individuals in areas facing increased attacks. Furthermore, ongoing evacuation efforts are in place for border communities in the region, following an evacuation order issued in July 2023.
