Thousands of households are able to claim over £90 in free cash or vouchers to help with the cost of living.
The help is available through the Household Support Fund which is a pot of cash given to local councils to support those most vulnerable to rising costs in their areas.
It was first introduced in October 2021 and has been extended four times since then and the Government's latest extension gave another £842million available from April 1 this year.
It is down to each local authority to decide what support to give - and who gets it.
This means it is a bit of a postcode lottery when it comes to what help is available.
Residents in Nottinghamshire can get up to £60 to help you with their energy bills plus an extra £30 per person to go towards food costs and other essentials.
The help is distributed through the council's network of community partners and organisations but comes from the Household Support fund.
The cash will either be paid by cash or in a voucher reports the Sun.
What you will get, either voucher or cash, will depend on your personal circumstances.
Those eligible can apply online via the Nottingham Council website from May 22 and if your application is successful - you should receive the money within 10 working days.
If you are eligible for an energy voucher you will also receive instructions on how to redeem it.
To be eligible for the help from Nottingham's Household Support Fund you will likely have to be on a low income or claim means tested benefits.
These benefits include things such as Universal Credit Income-based Jobseekers Allowance, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and Pension Credit.
