Thor Bjornsson responds to KSI's fight call-out after being branded "slow"

Thor Bjornsson has questioned whether KSI was "just fooling around" when the YouTube star suggested he could win in a fight between the pair.

There is a 140lb difference between Bjornsson and KSI's fight weights for their bouts with Eddie Hall and Logan Paul respectively. But that didn't stop the Brit from suggesting during a recent episode of the Side+ podcast that he could beat Bjornsson if the pair ever fought.

The rapper, whose most recent album All Over The Place topped the UK Charts, is currently preparing for a ring return, and is expected to face either Austin McBroom or Alex Wassabi in August. And in the podcast, he declared he would be too fast for the strongman, who dropped Hall twice on his way to winning their grudge match.

"Yes, bro, he'd be slow." KSI replied when asked if he could beat Thor. "You have to be fast, in and out in and out. It's one of those things because he's slow, while he's recharging to strike you can hit him."

And the Icelander hit back with a neutral comment, questioning if the Brit were serious. "Interesting," Bjornsson mused in a post to his followers on Instagram. "I wonder if he truly believes he can beat me or if he’s just fooling around. What do you guys think?"

Both men are currently weighing up their options for returns to the ring, with Hall admitting he would be willing to get a tattoo of Bjornsson's name in order to earn a rematch. Meanwhile, KSI appears to be leaning towards a fight with Wassabi, who recently defeated his brother Deji in London.

Wassabi had been set to fight Manny Pacquiao's son Emmanuel Jr on a charity boxing event in May, but pulled out of the bout after agreeing a deal with Jake Paul's 'Most Valuable Promotions' to focus on "bigger fights". It remains to be seen if MVP will get him the KSI fight, but the Pauls have previously worked with KSI and his team on a number of events.

For Bjornsson, he has indicated that while he would be happy to face Hall again, he also wants to cut off his rivalry with the Brit. He claimed after the fight that the pair could square off again, but admitted that he would rather move on after winning a relatively comfortable unanimous decision.

"I respect him as an athlete," Bjornsson said of Hall after the fight. "But I just want to move on and honestly, between us, I wouldn't really want the rematch because I don't want to communicate with him even though I've moved on. I wouldn't say that we're going to be best buddies, this is a fact."
