Thor Bjornsson has lost weight due to lack of dedication since Eddie Hall fight

Thor Bjornsson has admitted he has lost weight after lacking motivation following his boxing victory over Eddie Hall.

The Icelandic star recently settled his long-term rivalry with fellow strongman Hall by outpointing him in their ring meeting. Bjornsson had been training for his boxing debut for several months prior to lacing up his gloves, working alongside trainer Billy Nelson in the UK.

For the first time since his training camp ended, Bjornsson has now delivered an update on his weight on Instagram, with the caption: "Body weight 146kg. Haven’t been 100 per cent with my diet or training lately. I’m human like everyone else and I’m going through a period in my life where I’m not 100 per cent focused or dedicated all the time.

"It’s weird because for the last 10+ years of my life I’ve been super focused and driven because I’ve always had a goal to strive towards. Being in the unknown now has my motivation lacking a bit. If you are lacking motivation at this moment, know that it’s normal and we all go through that.

Before their fight, Bjornsson weighed in at 152kg, completing his remarkable 60kg transformation to make shape for a maiden appearance. This means the former Game of Thrones star has lost a further six kilograms since his fighting exploits.

After a positive display in his recent victory over Hall, Bjornsson is looking to continue his career in combat sports and is awaiting his next challenge in the ring. Hall fulfilled their pre-fight wager by getting a tattoo inked in a bid to earn a second meeting with Bjornsson.

The British star believes a second meeting would be an intriguing spectacle for fans, despite Bjornsson admitting he will explore alternative options before entertaining a sequel. One of those options could be Martyn Ford who has been heavily linked with the star since the collapse of his own debut against Iranian Hulk.

Ford believes that a fight with Bjornsson would be "perfect" and is adamant that the event could eclipse his rival's previous showdown with Hall. "For me in Dubai I saw the Eddie vs Thor fight and I thought Thor did well," Ford said. "It was touted out there, 100 per cent I want to fight Thor. If we are going to put it out there, name me one other person I want to fight who is the same size and would go head-to-head.

"I think that is the fight people want to see as it offers the whole package. They have to have the celebrity, bring the numbers to the table and it also has to be a similar level, size and background. Me and Thor would be perfect. It makes sense on so many levels. Me and Eddie being such good friends and him beating Eddie, there is genuinely a reason for it. I hold no animosity towards Thor."
