Thomas Tuchel is a "key factor" in Bayern Munich's pursuit of Kyle Walker this summer, according to reports.
The Manchester City right-back could be on the move after being left out of the Champions League final starting XI. Walker's role, which was once guaranteed, has become uncertain and he is among several players at the Etihad to be considering their futures.
Tuchel has the first chance to bolster his Bayern squad this summer and is wasting no time in identifying targets. The former Chelsea boss is looking to add a right-back and Walker's pace has proved an invaluable asset to the City backline over the years.
Sky Germany understand that concrete negotiations are going on between the player and the Bundesliga champions, although no agreement has been found. There is optimism however that a deal will be struck that will allow Walker to move to the Allianz Arena in the coming weeks.
English players have thrived in Germany's top flight, most recently Jude Bellingham at Borussia Dortmund and, before that, Jadon Sancho. Pep Guardiola cast doubt over Walker's future when he admitted he couldn't perform certain tactical tweaks, but did hail other assets: "He has other characteristics. He will always have pace. He will be the fastest in this room at 60 years old."
Bayern only just retained their crown on the final day of the season, scoring late at Koln to overhaul Dortmund in the title race. Tuchel is now looking to put his stamp on the squad with several high profile exits potentially on the cards - Sadio Mane among them.
The Bavarians are in the race to land Napoli's Kim-min Jae, who is also of interest to the likes of Manchester United. They need a prolific striker and have been linked with Tottenham's Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. Declan Rice has also been touted as a target, but the midfield may prefer to stay in England.
City meanwhile are battling to keep hold of several big names despite just winning the treble. Aymeric Laporte is another member of the backline who could leave with the Spaniard's minutes very much at a premium. Captain Ilkay Gundogan is also yet to sign a new deal in Manchester.
Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move away for several summers and could finally get his wish with Barcelona and PSG among those interested. Riyad Mahrez, another man who found himself on the bench for the final in Istanbul, is also considering his options.
