Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro, has issued a cryptic message on her Instagram page about her brother's future amid an increasingly uncertain future at Manchester United. The 37-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from Old Trafford, and Chelsea have emerged as a likely destination.
football.london understand that the Blues have sounded out a move for the striker, with Ronaldo keen to ply his trade in the Champions League this season. According to ESPN, the Portugal international is open to a move to Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea remain hesitant as to whether to escalate their interest, with Tuchel believed to have been granted the final say.
Despite Todd Boehly having built the groundwork to complete a deal after meeting with super agent Jorge Mendes, the German boss is not convinced. Whether the Blues table an offer for the five-time Ballon d'Or is yet to be seen, though Ronaldo seems eager to leave Carrington nonetheless.

The Portuguese star has not been included in Erik ten Hag's squad which has travelled to Thailand for pre-season, with 'family reasons' cited as the reason for his absence. Ronaldo is yet to have reported back for pre-season training, despite being expected to return last Monday.
And, with increasing doubt over his future at United, his sister has answered a question sent in by a follower of her on Instagram. A user asked: "Cristiano will stay [in] Manchester?"
To which Aveiro answered, as translated by the Manchester Evening News, via her Instagram story: "I suggest some glasses... a span of brain or else learn to read haaa and notion."
What the message means is difficult to interpret and likely lost in translation. Though it could be read as a plea for people to be sensitive and read into what reports are saying at face value - Ronaldo has been granted additional time away due to 'family reasons'.
