Thomas Tuchel's stance on Armando Broja significant as West Ham plan £30m bid for Chelsea star

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will likely play a massive role in determining where striker Armando Broja could end up this summer amid West Ham and Napoli transfer rumours.

For Chelsea, their transfer window is starting to heat up after a relatively slow start in the early days of the market. Romelu Lukaku's loan return to Inter Milan looks highly probable to go through. After that domino falls, it is understood that Todd Boehly is eager to conclude a deal that will see Raheem Sterling move to West London.

As a consequence of this whole attacking re-shuffle, other forwards in the current frontline and their futures have been thrown up in the air and Broja is one of those players waiting to see what will happen in the forthcoming weeks. The 20-year-old had a lightning start to his loan move at Southampton last season but slightly tailed off at the end of his short-term stay where he mangled to rack up a total of nine goals in all competitions.

One of those goals was netted in an FA Cup win for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side against David Moyes' Hammers. In fact, it was after that game that the East Londoners started to ramp up their interest in the Albanian international.

So much so that Sky Sports amongst others are reporting that the side who narrowly missed out on Europa League glory in 2021/22 are preparing to test the resolve of the Blues early on in this transfer window with a potential £30million offer.

Questions over his readiness to be part of the current Chelsea squad for next season remain, and football.london understands that Tuchel wants to give the likes of Broja, Conor Gallagher and others a real chance to prove themselves in pre-season before their roles for the next year are established.

"They will come back [to Chelsea] for sure," he confirmed in the latter parts of last season. "I want to have them in pre-season. We will decide in pre-season what goes on. It is heavily up to [them] - and how they do."

Southampton had wanted to take the striker back again for 2022/23 in another loan, but it seems their attentions have switched towards Man City youngster Liam Delap. In fact, Napoli are currently rumoured to be the biggest contender rivalling West Ham for the up-and-coming star.

Chelsea fans- are you in favour of seeing Armando Broja leave for West Ham and do you think this deal could help the Blues in their attempts to land Declan Rice either this summer or next? Leave your thoughts down below in the comments section!
