Thomas Tuchel became just the seventh Chelsea manager to reach 100 matches in charge of the club since the Premier League was founded in 1992, but Chelsea failed to mark the ocassion in style, losing 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
It's fitting though that his century came up with a match in Europe's elite club competition as it was in this same tournament that he cemented himself into the club's history, winning a second Champions League for the Blues. Now, the attention has turned to what he can do domestically and if he can turn the club's fortunes around.
Chelsea have already gone five years since last winning the league title and, after a disjointed start, aren't making a name for themselves as challengers this season yet either.

As the 39th manager in total at Stamford Bridge and the 18th man since 1992, Tuchel had settled the ship, to some extent, but now faces a big task to correct a start to the season that has seen three consecutive away losses.
Although it is a tough period for the side right now, the new ownership group and Tuchel's marked difference to previous pragmatic managers has seen a shift in emphasis to long-term solutions at the club. Now, Tuchel needs to provide a clear route to progressing his team's ability to compete over the span of a 38-game league season.
When looking at his win percentage in the 100 matches there is a pattern that shows where Tuchel needs to show strength in order to bring the desired domestic success. In the league he has managed 35 wins from his 63 games, a percentage of 53.8%, whereas his overall record in all matches is 60 wins in 100 games at 60%.
The big jump to a successful overall win percentage, only bettered by Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho's first in charge out of managers to have over 100 matches at Chelsea, is the knockout football. It's how he transformed Frank Lampard's struggling side to become Champions League winners.
His record of 26 wins from 37 matches in cup competitions - including Champions League group stage games - comes out at 72% win rate. It's a huge number that also shows where Chelsea are in two senses. As their cup finals last year show, not being beaten inside 120 minutes in four finals, the Blues had become a tough team to face. The issue is the league form is about consistency and that hasn't come to fruition yet.
If Tuchel can deliver on his goal to manage "another hundred, then another hundred coming," then league success and consistency will be the key.
