Thomas Tuchel has already told Chelsea why they can't let Neymar leave PSG for Man City

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has previously said he does not believe there is a better player in world football then Neymar amid shock links emerging that one of Man City and Juventus could make a move for the Paris Saint-Germain star.

The Parisians have undergone major surgery already this summer following a review from their Qatar Sports Investments ownership. Kylian Mbappe has has signed a major new contract after it looked likely he would be joining Real Madrid on a free transfer, while sporting director Leonardo and manager Mauricio Pochettino were given the chop.

Lille boss Christopher Galtier is on the verge of being brought in to take over from Pochettino and Luis Campos has joined as director of football, but if rumours are to be believed Brazilian icon Neymar could be leaving. Although the likes of Marca have highlighted that this would be an expensive signing for any club, Campos has reportedly double-downed on his opinion internally that this is the right time to move on the 30-year-old, as per Foot Mercato Journalist Santi Aouna.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelafi hasn't been clear on the future of PSG's No.10. "Neymar part of the new project or not? We can't speak about this in public as some players will arrive, some players will leave the club. These are private negotiations," he said.

Where he goes next remains up in the air with Juventus amongst others a touted suitor. As it stands though, if he was to come to the Premier League, the latest indications are that it would be Man City where he would end up at. Something of a huge worry to Chelsea who need to close the gap on a City side who have already added Erling Haaland to their ranks this summer.

The Blues need attacking reinforcements and instead of standing on from the sidelines and watching City pounce on this situation with their own focuses at the moment currently on Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele, Tuchel could well instruct new owner Todd Boehly to divert his attentions to the player he has already brandished in the past as having the 'whole package.'

Neymar himself has already opened up on the good friendship he has with the Chelsea manager and it was thought of at one time that a move to West London could be on the cards following the uncertainty at PSG, according to the Mirror. Instead, it is Guardiola's side who seem the best financially equipped to pounce, and Tuchel has already warned Boehly why he can't let the Brazilian join his Premier League rival without putting up a proper fight.

"Is there someone with more talent than Neymar," he opened up in an interview with Sky Sports last season. "I don't know if this exists- more natural and easier looking than him, I don't think that is possible."

Seeing that 'talent' join the current champions would certainly be a bitter pill for him and Chelsea supporters to swallow, especially considering the objective at mind to catch City, not to let them further extend their superiority in the league.
