Thomas Tuchel has £57m Chelsea transfer problem despite West Ham boost amid Armando Broja puzzle

Thomas Tuchel has been tasked with solving another problem regarding the future of Armando Broja despite West Ham pulling out of the race. The 20-year-old striker has been heavily linked with an exit from Chelsea following an impressive loan spell at Southampton last season.

football.london understand that Broja, who is valued at around £57million, will be looked at by Tuchel in pre-season amid strong interest from a host of clubs. It's also understood that Everton are eager to sign the youngster, with several top-flight European clubs also joining the queue.

According to iNews, Newcastle United have also registered their interest in the Albania international amid his increasingly uncertain future in west London. And, it's believed that both the Magpies and the Toffees are plotting moves for Broja now that David Moyes' side have ceased their interest as they close in on Arsenal target Gianluca Scamacca - as one door closes, another opens.

The striker is said to have a future at Stamford Bridge and flew home from the club's United States pre-season tour due to injury. And, Tuchel is fighting to retain Broja's services upon his return.

"I don't expect Armando to leave," Tuchel said. "We are aware of offers and interest, which tell us there is a lot of potential. We will take this decision together with me, the owners and also the player.

"When he arrived [in the US for pre-season], it was clear he was trying to impress to try and become a Chelsea player as soon as possible after his loan at Southampton. The situation was clear - to make the next step and show his improvement and make an impression, but unfortunately, he injured himself."

Broja, who sees his contract at Chelsea expire in 2026 after penning a new long-term deal last summer, featured 38 times for the Saints, directly contributing toward ten goals. He played a key role in steering Ralph Hasenhuttl's side to safety from relegation and looks poised to do so again but in Blues this season.
