Thomas Tuchel has been warned about Chelsea's inability to be proactive in the transfer market.
Jurgen Klopp's side, who signed Luis Diaz from Porto in the January window for just an initial £37m, has enjoyed a superb success rate when signing players.
The 25-year-old winger falls precisely into the said category and looks to have already taken great strides towards emulating Sadio Mane's impact at Anfield.
So, Daniel Childs spoke to Matt Addison, editor of sister site Liverpool.com, live on the Carefree Chelsea 'Behind Enemy Lines' show to discuss how much of an impact Diaz could have in the next few seasons.
Addison began by detailing how the Colombia international has been fast-tracked into Klopp's side, having already played various roles in what has felt a seamless transition.
"Luis Diaz has been really impressive in little bits so far," he said. "He's not quite put together a full performance; there's been a goal or a little moment at times where he's done stuff.
"But, the signs are there that they've found another player who can come in and play a couple more positions.
"I think when he arrived, a lot of people thought he was just a left-winger - we've seen him play through the middle already. He just looks every inch a Liverpool player so far."
The Liverpool.com editor added by revelling in Liverpool's £78m recruitment strategy that signed both Diogo Jota and Diaz, shining a light on Chelsea's worrying inability to replace Eden Hazard.
"Jurgen Klopp made a key point - he said along the lines of, 'he's just doing these things naturally,'" Addison said, paraphrasing the German boss' fruitful assessment of Diaz.
"It's not like they've told him - they haven't had time, they've not had the training sessions to instil the way Liverpool play in him.
"That's just how he is, and I think that's a real testament to recruitment that they've managed to find Jota, managed to find Diaz - when you think of how good Salah, Mane and Firmino were at their peaks, to find the next version of those without really needing any adaptation period I think is a sign they know exactly what they're doing."
