Thomas Tuchel has been dealt a huge dilemma regarding the future of Levi Colwill as Chelsea dig deeper into the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge following an impressive loan spell at Huddersfield Town last season.
The Cobham graduate, who sees his contract with the west Londoners expire in 2025, featured 29 times for the Terriers in the Championship, booking Carlos Corberán's side a raffle ticket for promotion into the top-flight. Unfortunately for Colwill, Huddersfield fell at the final hurdle but it's said that Chelsea are impressed with his development nonetheless.
football.london understand that he'll be assessed by Tuchel in pre-season. However, the Blues boss is under growing pressure to solve Colwill's future sooner rather than later due to great interest from several Premier League clubs.

And, according to The Athletic, if Chelsea sign one more defender this summer then the youngster will look to leave Stamford Bridge before the window slams shut. Todd Boehly has already welcomed Kalidou Koulibaly to the club and the Blues continue to be linked with Jules Kounde and Presnel Kimpembe.
However, what makes Colwill such a special talent is that he's been likened to club legend and former captain John Terry. Having worn the number 26 while on loan at Huddersfield last season, Colwill said: "I'll take it. I'm not going to complain. It's not a bad thing to be called the new John Terry.
"I haven't made the comparison myself, so the fans and media can make whatever comparisons they want to make, it isn't going to affect me. John Terry is a club legend and leader, someone every centre-back at Chelsea should look up to.
"A great guy and player. I've not had the chance to speak to him too much. When he was around the academy building, we'd have the odd little chat, but it'd be more of a, 'Hi, how are you?' kind of thing, not on a personal level about football or things like that."
Colwill predominantly operated on the left of a back-three at Huddersfield, enjoying much of his success threading passes through into his midfielders, winning aerial duels and defending with wisdom beyond his years. However, football.london understand that Tuchel envisions the youngster at the heart of a back-three in the 'Thiago Silva role'.
