Thomas Partey makes Arsenal transfer decision amid £105m Declan Rice deal and Romeo Lavia link

Thomas Partey could leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window as Declan Rice undergoes a medical ahead of a £105million move to the Emirates Stadium. football.london reported back in January that Rice was the Gunners' primary target for the summer transfer window.

It seems that Mikel Arteta will finally get his man after the Gunners and West Ham agreed on the payment structure of the deal. Rice is set to complete a medical today with his arrival expected to be confirmed by Arsenal before the end of the week.

Granit Xhaka has already left the north London outfit after securing a £21.5million switch to Bayer Leverkusen. Xhaka's exit opens up space for Rice to join Arteta's squad and instantly fit into the starting XI heading into next season.

Former Liverpool player Danny Murphy claims to have bumped into the England international and had a conversation about the move. He said he met the England star last Sunday, where excitement was apparent for the move and linking up with Mikel Arteta.

Murphy told Rio Ferdinand's YouTube channel Five: "I saw Dec on Sunday. We were chatting & he was buzzing, he couldn’t wait to get to Arsenal. He said Arteta was magic when he met him."

It now seems that Partey could follow Xhaka out of Arsenal with Juventus and Saudi Arabian clubs interested in signing him. According to CBS Sports, Partey's camp have informed interested parties from Saudi Arabian that the player is not currently considering a move to the Pro League.

It is claimed that the Ghana international instead favours a move to Serie A outfit Juventus, with the Gunners demanding a significant fee to sanction any such move. Arsenal remain interested in signing Romeo Lavia from Southampton this summer but face competition from Liverpool for his signature.

The Gunners may sanction a move for Lavia if Juventus submit a formal offer for Partey. Arteta is hoping to strengthen his squad in all areas ahead of a return to the Champions League next term - with Arsenal hoping to challenge for the Premier League title once again next season.
