Thomas Muller has dismissed talk that he was 'humiliated' by Vincent Kompany during Bayern Munich's Champions League win over Celtic last week.
The teams played out a 1-1 draw last Tuesday night at the Allianz Arena in Germany, which saw the Bundesliga leaders progress to the last-16 as the Hoops dropped out of the competition.
Muller has mainly been used as a substitute by Kompany this season, as the Bayern legend - with 24 trophies to his name - comes towards the end of his career.
The attacking midfielder was sent onto the pitch last week with just seconds left to go. This was even less than the final three minutes he got at Celtic Park six days prior.
Germany legend Lothar Matthaus was left unhappy with Muller's treatment.
The pundit said on TV: "This was humiliating. It made me sad and I felt sorry for Thomas. I was shocked."
However, Muller was keen to pour cold water over that sort of talk following Bayern's 4-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt yesterday.
He said: "Of course, you have to say that there are different types of players.
"And maybe it was the same in the past when you were used to waste time, and for some it felt like a humiliation.

"But I have a very good relationship with the coach and I have not felt that way at all. If I'm needed, then I'm there.
"We're all here at FC Bayern in the squad to put ourselves at the service of the club.
"Of course he could have brought me in much earlier. The coach decides and he decides with the best of his knowledge and conscience.
"We have to keep recommending ourselves. So a little more was made of it, everything is okay."
