Brentford boss Thomas Frank paid tribute to the Manchester United fans after they gave Christian Eriksen a warm welcome at Old Trafford.
Eriksen was back in action at Old Trafford for the first time since suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark in the European Championship last summer.
The 30-year-old signed for Brentford on a short-term deal in January and has been in excellent form since then, impressing again on Monday night despite United's 3-0 victory.

Eriksen had two early corners for the Bees in front of the Stretford End, one on either side of the pitch, and on both occasions he received a standing ovation from those fans nearby, something which Frank appreciated.
“I loved the touch from the Manchester United fans for the two corners, one either side [when they applauded him], that was very good," said Frank. "He [Eriksen] performed well."
Frank also felt United produced a strong first-half performance, taking the lead through Bruno Fernandes' goal.
Brentford had a bright spell early in the second half but fell victim to a sucker punch when Cristiano Ronaldo converted a penalty he had won from Rico Henry, but Raphael Varane completed the scoring from a corner.
“I’m a bit disappointed because we could have performed even better, especially the first half," said Frank.
"United were on top of the game without creating chance after chance, they had one top moment for the 1-0 game, credit to them for that situation.
“They didn’t create much but they were a bit on the ball in the first half. We were too hectic in spells. Fair play to Manchester United, they hit a very high performance first half, one of their best performances that I’ve seen recently.
“We were on top of the game [in the second half] and then we made a stupid mistake for the penalty, an unnecessary mistake. If we want to win at Old Trafford we can’t concede that penalty and we can’t concede from a set-piece."
