Brentford manager Thomas Frank has joked that Brentford would have to qualify for the Champions League to convince David Raya to stay at the club amid interest from Manchester United.
It is thought that United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen on the Spanish shot-stopper, with Raya having turned down two fresh contract offers from the Bees. While the London outfit are keen to retain the player, Frank believes that the 27-year-old would cost at least £40million.
Raya has impressed in the Premier League since Brentford were promoted to the top flight. The Spaniard has made 147 appearances for the Bees, recording 50 clean sheets. He was also part of Spain's World Cup squad in Qatar, but did not feature during the tournament.

Asked if his goalkeeper was staying at the club, Frank said: "I think we need to get into the Champions League and then he would consider it! I love David as a keeper. I really believe he is one of the best in the Premier League. If someone wants to come and buy him, he is very expensive.
"He will be, for me, at least £40m. No doubt about that. No matter what happens, we will be able to at least contact a replacement. They don't always want to come, but we do our best to persuade them. But of course we are prepared for any scenario."
Brentford could still seal European football for next season, with the Bees currently a point behind seventh-placed Fulham and seven points behind fourth-placed Spurs with two games in hand. Frank's men go into Saturday's clash with Everton looking to extend their unbeaten run to 13 matches.
Meanwhile, United are in discussions with David de Gea over a new contract, but there is ongoing uncertainty over his long-term role in the Reds side in an era where goalkeepers' kicking is instrumental to attacks.
The Spaniard is technically out of contract in the summer but the club have the option of an additional year to keep him at Old Trafford until 2024.
