'Organizing beauty products using a cake stand is a fun and unique way to store them, but it also has some practicality,' when it comes to organizing makeup, she says, particularly if you use one with multiple tiers, such as the Sweejar 3 Tier Ceramic Cake Stand available at Amazon.
'First, each level can be used as a section for categorization. For example, you could have all eye products on one level, lips on another, and face products on another.
'This allows you to organize your beauty products by category and keep them organized. Once you've determined a zone or category for each level, staying organized becomes that much easier!'
Another great benefit is that using a cake stand is a space saving way to use vertical storage, as, while wide enough to keep products orderly, the base hardly takes up any space at all, helping to keep bathroom countertops clear.
'They also work similarly to a Lazy Susan,' adds Metzel, which are one of the organizing tools our home editors love in their bathrooms, 'giving you full 360 degree access to your products making it easy to find what you need.'
