ITV has confirmed that This Morning will air tomorrow, despite the show continuing to face a tirade of controversy surrounding recently departing host, Phillip Schofield.
The veteran face of the programme for 21 years resigned from ITV on Friday, with the 61-year-old admitting that he had an 'unwise, but not illegal' relationship with a young male who had worked on the programme while he was married to his wife.
Schofe stepped down with 'immediate effect' at the weekend, while his fellow host Holly Willoughby remains on annual leave for the half-term holidays.

The PA News Agency reports that Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will continue to fill in, although it is uncertain as to who will front the show when it returns at 10am tomorrow. The controversy surrounding the program over the last few weeks has put the future of the show in speculation - but an ITV spokesperson has dismissed any axing.
They said: "As we said on the record yesterday, This Morning is not under review and there’s no plans for the show to be axed. This Morning will return as normal tomorrow."
Willoughby, is expected to return to the show come June 5, although it is once more uncertain as to who will front the show with her.
It comes after the co-host to former Schofield said in a statement that his admission of the affair was 'very hurtful'.
In an Instagram story yesterday, Willoughby penned: “It’s taken time to process yesterday’s news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie.”
Her brief take followed on just hours after ITV released a second statement on matters with regards to Phillip, citing that an investigation had been launched into claims of an affair three years ago. The statement added: "Both parties were questioned and both categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours as did Phillip's then agency YMU.
"In addition, ITV spoke to a number of people who worked on This Morning and were not provided with, and did not find, any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour. Phillip's statement yesterday reveals that he lied to people at ITV, from senior management to fellow presenters, to YMU, to the media and to others over this relationship."
