This Morning viewers worried for guest's dress as crow flaps around studio

A rook which previously left host Holly Willoughby shrieking in terror returned to This Morning, but viewers in this case were more focused on the hemline of owner Helen Motteram’s dress. Last time the naughty bird was in the studio, he caused chaos as he swooped in to terrorise presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who were visibly distressed at his presence.

Holly hid behind her co-host as Russell was calmed down when he originally appeared in 2017. But the bird was better behaved this time round. Although, viewers all took to twitter in their amazement at owner Helen’s outfit.

She was on the show talk about how Russell recently contracted a serious eye infection, which required expensive life-saving surgery. Helen decided to reach out to Russell’s A-list namesake and Gladiator star, Russell Crowe himself… and to her surprise it worked.

Pet trainer Helen, from Cheltenham, previously said she lets him sleep in her bed and says he is getting in the way of her marriage. With regards to Russell’s eye, she said revealed it was an expensive operation and was trying to get crowd funding.

Holly said: “You got in contact with Russell Crowe because you’d already previously had contact. I think he’d seen some tweets and messages and stuff." She then asked: "What did he come back and say?”

Helen replied: “On our go fund page it said his name and how much he donated. But before 6-7 years ago, he retweeted quite a few times and kind of responded to us. So it was just so nice him reaching out.

"But when I saw his name on the go fund page, Russell it made up the, um, final donation because we were only sort of £300 away anyway and then having that little bit extra like, enabled us to go ahead.”

Phil then was trying to feed the bird - and Helen was getting up and down to help - and viewers got worried. Bunny said on Twitter: “What is this woman wearing on TV, a dress so short.” KBG added: “Gonna see her Sunday dinner if she bends over in the wrong direction.. #ThisMorning.”

Sara warned: “She’s not got the right skirt on for bending down on the telly.“ Andrea davies added: “Her dress is veryyy short!!#ThisMorning.” BeanZ said: “Did they run out of material making that dress #thismorning”

This Morning is on weekdays on ITV 10am - 12.30pm.
