This Morning viewers 'turn over' as Holly and Phil return to show

This Morning viewers switched off when they saw Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby return to the show.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary fronted the show last week as they took over for the half-term break. The fan favourites went down a storm with viewers, like they normally do, but the return of the show's mainstay hosts forced viewers to "turn over."

Those watching assumed the half-term switch-up would continue until after Halloween which led many to be disappointed when they saw Holly and Phil return. Some viewers were so annoyed at their return that they said they were switching over entirely.

One person said: "Thought it was half term?" Another added: "Look who’s back time to turn over."

Alongside a GIF of a cartoon character leaving, a third viewer said: "Oh, I see those two are back." Holly and Phil's return was immediately soured by a "childish" conversation where Holly likened a pickle to a part of the male anatomy, prompting further backlash from viewers.

Another comment said: "What is this childish conversation? You're supposed to be adults." Meanwhile another viewer said: "What’s with the smutty start to daytime TV."

The pair's return also reignited comments from their queue gate scandal as viewers mentioned neither presenter has made proper amends for their actions at the Queen's lying in state.
