This Morning viewers stunned as consumer expert Katie Morley swears on live TV

There were a few raised eyebrows on today’s This Morning after a consumer expert turned the air blue during a phone-in.

Katie Morley accidentally swore after she listened to caller Lesley’s dilemma.

After the viewer explained her problem, Morley, who is the Consumer Champion at The Telegraph, said sympathetically: “I’m so sorry darling, that’s s***.”

Immediately realising her error, Morley covered her mouth in shock and instantly apologised.

This Morning host Ruth Langsford also apologised to those watching at home.

But while Morley was mortified at her foul-mouthed slip of the tongue, viewers at home seemed to find the incident funny rather than offensive, taking to Twitter to have an early morning giggle.

“Katie Morley on This Morning has just made me laugh, bless her!” wrote one viewer.

“Funny!” added another. “It is s***, let’s be honest, amazed how she carried on.”

“Don't anyone dare complain to Ofcom! Great to hear someone say it exactly as it is,” said a third. “It IS s***! Well said Katie!”

It wasn’t the only cock-up on the ITV magazine programme this morning, with viewers taking umbrage with co-host Eamonn Holmes mixing up Devon and Dorset while speaking to guest Buster in Weymouth.

The caption also came up on the screen as ‘Weymouth, Devon’, and fuming viewers picked up on the error straight away, taking to Twitter once more to vent their annoyance.

“Excuse me but Weymouth is in Dorset not Devon I’ve just noticed, learn some basic geography guys,” complained one viewer.

Langsford, and husband Holmes are filling in for This Morning over the summer, as usual hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield enjoy a well-deserved holiday.

This Morning continues weekdays from 10am on ITV
