This Morning viewers left cringing at 'awkward' astrologer segment with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield

Fans of This Morning were left cringing after an ironic moment on the show.

Viewers described the segment as an 'awkward' phone in between Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and the show's resident astrologer.

On Tuesday, May 16, Hagan Fox invited viewers to contact the ITV show so he could answer their questions whilst assessing their star sign, reports Manchester Evening News.

As he teased his upcoming segment, the astrologer explained that he would be leading a phone in on relationships in work and 'anything' viewers wanted to discuss.

He said: "Today it's about relocation, relationships, work issues. Do you get on with your boss? Do you not get on with your boss? It's about changing jobs. Anything you want to talk about today, I am here."

This Morning viewers couldn't help but comment on the 'awkward' encounter as Holly and Phil have been making headlines due to their rumoured 'rift'.

@Edwardv22249346 tweeted: "Phone in……if you don’t get on with your boss………awkward……..#ThisMorning." @Itt39354118 said: "Haha hagen talking about relationships #thismorning."

It's been claimed that the presenting duo's friendship has 'cooled' off after Phillip's pre-planned absence from the show in April around the time of his brother's sex abuse trial, in which he was found guilty.

Monday's show was the first time the presenting duo have been seen on camera together since 61-year-old Phillip issued an unexpected statement, in which he defended his relationship with Holly, who he claimed was his 'rock'.

Phillip told The Sun: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her." Phillip added: "The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us."
