This Morning viewers hit back over 'out-of-touch' fashion segment claiming the country is 'skint'

This Morning viewers have slammed a summer wardrobe fashion segment on this morning branding it "out of touch". Fashion guru Gok Wan presented his finds on today's show from outside.

It included five "incredible dresses" modelled on the show - priced at £41.60, £22.49, £48, £109 and £29.99. Also among the items were five bags - priced at £49.99, £40, £26, £69.99 and £22.50, as well as boots priced at £44.99 and £110, and shoes priced at £57, £15 and £49.99.

Among the accessories was a hairband costing £39, sunglasses priced at £24, a hat at £20 and a scarf for £12.99. Gok also talked This Morning viewers through some items on his rail - a "mini-me dress" allowing parents to "dress like their kids", a £15 Primark dress as well as a £45 shirt dress.

But not all viewers were impressed - commenting on the price of some of the items. Taking to Twitter, some viewers pointed out the seemingly steep prices of some items - particularly a £39 headband and a £49 bag.

One said: "£39 for a p****** hair band? £49 for a s******* bag? No wonder this country is in a real cost of living crisis!" Another added: "£39 for a headband? A headband that looks like the one my name was drawn on in Blackpool for £3 in the 80s."

While a third wrote: "£39 for a hairband? The country is skint fgs." A fourth also said: "No way to expensive and ridiculous prices for hair band and bags I will make do with my shoes zone bag and shoes and Claire accessories hair band ta."

But they weren't the only ones to hit back over the price tags. Another said: "‘Well, you could buy these clothes and look gorgeous, or support a small poor country for a month. It’s entirely up to you of course." A fifth added: "So thoughtless most struggling to survive and pay bill.... Dresses ££££££."

And one even branded the segment "out of touch". They wrote: "Out of touch price-wise fashion segment. Everyone's energy bills doubling.. petrol.. mental.. but hey 110 for boots get me two pairs." Another seemed to agree too: "The fashion segment really isn't in touch with the actual audience. £220 for a dress and boots, who can afford that like?"
