This Morning viewers cringe at 'hideous' fashion segment about statement shirts with Lisa Snowdon

Viewers tuning into Tuesday's episode of This Morning were left unimpressed at the show's fashion segment with TV presenter Lisa Snowdon. Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby welcomed the 50-year-old to the ITV studio as she updated fans on all the latest fashion trends for spring - including statement shirts, which you can watch in the video above.

Opening up the segment, Lisa said: "So we're having a little taste of the sunshine today that's promising to stick around, and I think this is the perfect season to inject some fun, some colour into what we're wearing. And I think the statement shirt is the perfect way to start your spring wardrobe."

Model Diane was first up on the runway, showcasing a retro patterned £35.99 blouse from Mango, sported with a pair of dark green trousers from Marks and Spencer worth £49.50. Lisa talked through the outfit, describing it as a "super chic" look that can be worn day or night.

Next up was Gerry, who was flaunting a "pretty in Prairie" white "boho" blouse worth £65, with jeans from Topshop. Lisa then took to a clothing rail to give viewers a close up of some of her best picks - including a light blue frilly collar blouse from New Look and a white floral shirt with see-through sleeves from NeverFullyDressed.

Diane then returned to the catwalk in a brand new outfit consisting of an bright pink oversized striped shirt from Primark that was matched with a snakeskin bag from Debenhams. Lisa expressed how much she loved the look before bringing back Gerry to the studio runway, who had on a floral patterned collared blouse tucked in to a long denim skirt.

However, it would seem that not everyone watching shared the same enthusiasm in the looks as Lisa did. Many fans took to their keyboards to discuss the garments - with some even describing them as "hideous" while others complained at the "expensive" prices.
