This Morning viewers have called for Josie Gibson and Vernon Kay to become regular presenters on the ITV daytime programme. The pair have been standing in for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby but Josie and Vernon's stint is due to end later this week and fans are keen to see them become more permanent presenters on This Morning.
It's not the first time they have presented together, back in December they became a huge hit with the This Morning audience as they stepped in to host in the time leading up to Christmas. Earlier this week, they took over the reigns from hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary to present during Phil and Holly's second week of their Easter break.
Since their first appearance on Monday, April 11, viewers have been taking to Twitter and calling for the pair to become a more continuing part of the daytime show's team. Some fans have added that Josie and Vernon are the "perfect" presenters and a "refreshing change".
Chloe Whitton posted: "Vernon and Josie lowkey need to become regular presenters because they're miles better than Phil and Holly #ThisMorning". Joanna Doherty added: "Now this is what I’m talking about @thismorning!! #VernonAndJosie are the perfect presenters. Josie doesn’t make the show about her and @vernonkay is the perfect wing man and respectful. #ThisMorning".
"#ThisMorning Yes! Josie and Vernon. Please keep the presenting permanently! Or at least Fridays and all holidays." Elizabeth Scott asked and Janet Lowman added: "#ThisMorning. I must say Josie and Vernon make such a refreshing change to P and H. Keep them on permanently".
"#ThisMorning Vernon and Josie are better than Dermot and Alison," Mel Navan tweeted: "Hell, they're even better than Phil and Holly". "I'm gonna say it, Josie and Vernon are the best @thismorning presenters! #ThisMorning" Emily added. Irene Edgar said: "I’m really enjoying Josie and Vernon presenting #ThisMorning. They’re very natural, funny & actually sound interested in the people they interview (and that’s a skill!!)"
Phillip and Holly are set to return to This Morning on Tuesday, April 19. This Morning airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 10am.
