This Morning viewers were baffled as Gyles Brandreth "revealed" the outcome of the Wagatha Christie trial.
The 74-year-old appeared on ITV's flagship daytime programme to discuss the high profile libel case between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy. The rivalry between the two footballer's wives first came to the public's attention on October 9, 2019 when Mrs Rooney accused Mrs Vardy's Instagram account of selling stories about her.
After blocking "everybody but one person" from viewing her Instagram stories, Mrs Rooney concluded the source could only be the account of Mrs Vardy. The wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has denied the allegations and the saga will finally reach its conclusion when Mrs Justice Steyn publishes her ruling later today.

Gyles took inspiration from a fortune teller named "Mystic Veg" to predict what the High Court verdict will be. Jemima Packington tosses asparagus in the air to predict the future and has hit the headlines after she used the unconventional technique to correctly predict key political events.
Gyles tossed the veg in the air to predict who will win today's trial. He joked: "Terrible news. V for Vardy and it snapped."
Viewers following the show on Twitter were baffled by the fortune telling segment.
