This Morning descended into chaos when presenters Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson tried to interview a gran who has gone viral on TikTok. The segment didn't start well when a phone rang in the background at the start of the interview and then grandmother Norma couldn't hear the questions.
It was during a section on 'granfulencers', a new wave of influencers consists of web-savvy seniors who are pulling in hundreds, thousands, and even millions of followers on platforms like TikTok.
Straight-talking Norma has been a major hit with social media viewers and the pair, from Nottinghamshire, have got 1.1 million followers and have had 26.9 million likes. They show off their close relationship, and show how 'Nana Norma' isn't afraid to tell Jess off.
Fans have branded the Yorkshire gran as "so funny" when she forces Jessica to treat herself with her money, or food - something which many grandchildren can relate to. She has recently been helping Jess out with petrol money due to the rising cost of living.
Just as they were about to be interviewed on Friday's This Morning about the popularity of the videos, Norma's phone went off in the background, with Jess rolling her eyes and telling Craig and Josie in the studio it was one of her grandmother's friends calling.
She got someone behind the camera to switch the phone off and the presenters went on to ask Norma a question about how big a celebrity she is online.
Despite several attempts to ask the question to her grandmother, Norma said: "I am having a bit of difficulty with my hearing, I am sorry."
Jessica said "just bear with me" and she got her grandmother a new hearing aid. When that was fixed, she was asked if she approved of her grandson Kayden's tattoos after a video of him showing her the web tattoo on his leg was one of the many that went viral.
When asked if she was keen on the body art, Norma replied: "Not 100%, no. I just live for winter when he has a long sleeved jumper on."
She did say that the response to the videos had been "overwhelming". Adding: "We have had some wonderful people to speak to and so many messages. We get messages from all over the world, but it has been a wonderful time. I can't believe it is happening to little old me."
When asked about "The number of people that we have had wherever we go who come and say hello and it is so nice to speak to them
