This Morning's viewers in hysterics as pony who wants to be Prime Minister 'sings'

This Morning presenters and viewers enjoyed a giggle thanks to a musical animal guest earlier today.

Hosts Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters broke down in fits of giggles on today's edition of the ITV show [August 16], as Patrick the pony appeared alongside his owner Kirk following his ban from a local pub in Devon.

Proud owner Kirk explained how Patrick is "therapy pony who brings joy to a lot of people" when chatting to the This Morning presenters via video link, before going on to say how the pony had "saved lives" due to people "who have been so depressed they couldn't leave their house" being inspired to pay him a visit.

He went on to reveal how by day Patrick is a therapy animal, but he also has an official title due to the positive impact he has on his local community - The Mayor of Cockington.

Kirk explained how after raising £750 for a local Ukraine appear, a local councillor suggested he should have an official title to recognise his efforts, and added how many have called on the pony to become the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

"He might do a good job to be honest with you," Rochelle told the proud pony owner, with Andi adding: "Aim high!"

Kirk sadly also revealed how "someone put a very strong complaint into the council which meant we had to take down his interaction pen", meaning Patrick the pony is no longer able to graze at the local pub and enjoy visitors.

After the pony owner branded the decision to ban his pony from the pub "quite upsetting", presenter Andi cheekily quipped: "Those are just the naysayers."

As the incredible interview drew to a close, Kirk asked the studio if he had time to sing a little song, before quickly belting out a tune for delighted viewers and This Morning presenters.

"Patrick the pony, Patrick the pony is a very special pony. If you're in trouble, just call out his name and he will come trotting and save the day," Kirk sang on the ITV show on Tuesday morning.

The This Morning studio broke out into applause once Kirk finished his impromptu song, with hosts Rochelle and Andi eventually bursting into a fit of giggles.

"Patrick the ponyyyy #ThisMorning love it when presenters get the giggles!! @RochelleHumes #andypeters," one happy viewer watching as home tweeted after the sweet segment aired.

"Andi must be thinking.... ferel kids yesterday, mayor pony and singing owner today.... what's tomorrow [laughing emojis] #ThisMorning," another added, as a third quipped: #ThisMorning What the f*** am I watching a pony with a song who wants to be Prime Minister??? Probably the pony could do better then Boris Johnson, I'm sure there was something in the Weetabix I have this morning I'm tripping."

"#ThisMorning Patrick the pony .Christmas number 1," another fan of the animal star wrote on social media thanks to Patrick and Kirk's interview.

"Maybe Patrick the Pony could bring out a song with the Viking wet nurse from yesterday (accompanied by her kids of course) #ThisMorning," one viewer quipped - referencing a feature on Monday's edition of This Morning.

Rochelle was left stunned on yesterday's episode of the ITV show as she attempted to interview a woman who lives as a Viking with her family on the weekends - with many viewers picking up on the chaos on social media.

*This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
