This Morning's Vanessa Feltz 'mortally embarrassed' after blunder

Vanessa Feltz confessed she was "mortally embarrassed" after a blunder with her boss.

In a segment inviting viewers to divulge their stories of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, couch regular Vanessa Feltz had a story of her own. The BBC Radio presenter hosts her own 5am weekday shows which was the scene of a very awkward situation between her and her boss.

Arriving bright and early for her show at 4am, Vanessa was flustered to realise the studio was completely empty and still very much in the dark. Nervous she would miss her show, she rang her boss to ask what was going on before he informed her it was a Sunday and she should still be in bed.

Documenting the awkward exchange on her Instagram story, Holly and Phil mentioned the exchange on today's This Morning. Phil said: "Have you phoned up to say you're sorry?"

She said: "No, I just can't I'm too embarrassed". Holly urged Vanessa that now is the right time to set things straight which provoked an awkward apology on air.

Vanessa said: "I'm very sorry for walking you up on Sunday morning at 4, Paul." She went on to declare the thought never occurred to her it was a Sunday as she followed her usual morning routine and thought "why would today be any different."
