This Morning's travel expert has told families when they can book their holiday to make a huge saving.
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby returned to front today's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme. They were joined by Alice Beer, who was issuing advice as people are forced to rethink their travel plans due to the cost of living crisis.
Alice explained it is important that people planning a getaway book in advance. She added: "The thought that last minute is going to be cheap is not really the case this year.

"You might get one element of your holiday at a discount, but the stars aren't always going to align. If you get your hotel cheap, then the flights and the rental car are not necessarily going to be and I think it's too much of a risk."
Research by Which? has found the best time to find hotel prices is three months before your holiday. Alice also urged jet-setters to not just look at budget airlines.
She said: "I was looking this weekend and I found a great flight from Gatwick to Alicante for £28.99, but that wasn't really the cost because if I took a small wheelie suitcase that would fit in the cabin then it would go up to £134.98. Whereas with British Airways, their standard economy fare which lets you take on the wheelie suitcase was £116.92."
Alice also warned holidaymakers to avoid costly extras on their flight and to make sure the card you are using while away does not charge extortionate fees when you make a purchase abroad. Alice finished her segment by revealing the best time families can book to go on holiday to make a massive saving.
She added: "Book it for October half term. You've got time to save a little bit if you can. Holidays in October half term week are 29% cheaper than they are in August so you can get much, much more for your money. It's definitely worth doing and you can look forward to it all summer."
