This Morning's Rylan Clark calls out Ruth Langsford over outfit comments

This Morning returned to our screens on Wednesday, with guest presenters at its helm once again.

With regular hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby taking a break for the summer holidays, the daytime TV programme has been fronted by an array of guest hosts in recent weeks. Rylan Clark and Ruth Langsford fronted the show today for the third time this week.

Ruth wore a multicoloured floral dress, and as the show returned from an ad break Rylan could be heard saying "Little House on the Prairie" - seemingly referring to the smock dresses actresses wore on the American Western historical drama television series.

Ruth replied: "Is that what you think my dress looks like?". Rylan looked stunned. The TV personality said: "How dare you? You just said it to me! This is how these rumours start."

Ruth giggled, before adding: "It's terrible what I have to go through on this show". Rylan replied: "You're disgusting, you really are. Don't like you any more".

He then told Ruth to introduce the next segment, as he sat with his arms folded.

Viewers at home have been loving the pair's chemistry, with many calling for them to be a permanent fixture on the show. Earlier this week, This Morning fans took to Twitter to issue the demand.

Rachel said: "Can these two always be on #thismorning please?". Dave said: "Ruth and Rylan are presenting, all is right with the world" and Marie said: "Love Rylan and Ruth together"

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and the ITV Hub
