This Morning's Rochelle Humes confirms lengthy stint as host as Holly Willoughby films another show

Rochelle Humes has revealed to This Morning viewers that will be presenting the show for a while after she replaced Holly Willoughby on Monday.

Regular viewers of the ITV daytime show were left surprised on Monday as Phillip Schofield was joined by Hit List star Rochelle, rather than Holly.

Holly had only just been seen alongside Phillip the night before on Dancing on Ice's first live show of 2022, so fans' curiosity was sparked by her absence from This Morning.

After conducting an interview without addressing Holly being missing in action, Phillip eventually explained to viewers that she was taking a break to film a show for the BB before Rochelle said she was 'keeping Holly's seat warm.'

Rochelle, looking delighted to be back on the show, teased her return to This Morning on her Instagram.

Posting a picture of herself before cameras rolled on her Insta grid, former Saturdays singer Rochelle wrote: "Back at @thismorning.

In for my girl @hollywilloughby for the next few weeks…Hope to see you at 10"

A fan quickly commented: "Have I missed something ? Where is Holly? Great to see you though," while, taking a swipe at Holly, another reacted: "Why is holly even still on the program?? Give her job to one of the other presenters full time.. that girl just come and goes as she likes"

They then added: "if holly doesn’t want to be on the show and wants to do other things then why not just leave and hand over the job to one of the other presenters who really do want to be there .. I don’t get it."

Viewers on Twitter were divided on Rochelle being main host, with one fan saying she brightened up Blue Monday, but others pushing for Josie Gibson to get another chance at presenting with Phillip.
