This Morning's Phillip Schofield shares mystery message about 'mates' as he heads out for drinks

Phillip Schofield got a bit cryptic on social media following his most recent appearance on This Morning. The presenter spent Tuesday (May 17) hosting the ITV daytime show alongside Holly Willoughby, a day after they were reunited as Holly returned from her week hosting ITV's The Games.

But following the show, the 60-year-old headed home to bask in the sun before enjoying a few drinks with a few mystery pals. Phillip took to social media to give a glimpse into his evening as he posted a photo to his Instagram Story.

It showed a bunch of glasses being held as if the several people present were making a toast. But it's what Phillip wrote alongside the snap that may get people thinking.

"Mates... who know you best and whose kindness and wisdom is vital," he penned across the image. He also included the hashtag 'Britain Get Talking' which is an ITV campaign he helped relaunch on This Morning last week alongside Holly's stand-in co-host Rochelle Humes.

On the programme last Thursday (May 12), Phillip and Rochelle encouraged viewers to get involved in ITV’s Britain Get Talking campaign to help those that are lonely. Phillip said: "This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and this year the focus is about loneliness."

Rochelle, 33, said: "Yes, one in four adults feel lonely some or all of the time, and because it’s something we rarely talk about it can be tricky to spot in others too." Phillip went on to explain how if you have a smartphone, you can help.

He said: "ITV are launching their latest Britain Get Talking campaign which is all about using voice notes to combat loneliness." Rochelle went on: "Voice notes have been placed all over the UK on windows, taxis, shops, and even on beer mats…"

Phillip added: "All you have to do is scan the QR code and you will hear a voice note - this one is from me - but there are others from the This Morning family encouraging you to send one of your own."

Rochelle said: "They only take a few seconds to record but to the person hearing it, it could really make their entire week.” Phillip then concluded: "So if you know someone that is feeling a bit lonely or low, send them a voice note today... and Britain Get Talking."
