This Morning's Phillip Schofield had to step in live on air after a tech blunder on the ITV mid-morning show today.
Sarah Parish and James Murray were on the ITV show today to chat to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about their special charitable trust, which they set up in memory of their late daughter.
The couple set up The Murray Parish Trust after the tragic death of their first daughter Ella-Jayne, who passed away in 2009 after a congenital heart defect. Their trust raises money towards the advancement of paediatric emergency medicine across England, as well as supporting The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit in Southampton Hospital where Ella-Jayne spent a lot of her life.
"It's a beast, and we're really lucky. I think the narrative Sarah's just explained, that sort of gave it the impetus to grow so exponentially and so quickly," James said as he explained the trust meant to them.
"We can't run it on our own anymore because of its size and obviously our day jobs, so we're supported by some amazing staff who we couldn't do it without," James said as he discussed the importance of the trust to both of them."
As Holly went to ask another question, Phil interrupted as he stood up from his seat. "Sarah I'm just going to jump in here, can we take your microphone off and pop it on this side here?"
Holly looked puzzled as did the show's guests. "We've lost your mic James," she said, "But now you can share."
Sarah and James then both checked the microphone was working, as they both tried speaking through it. "Was everything I just said completely not heard?" he asked, as Phil quickly responded: "No we heard it - but now we can hear you better."
As the interview continued, James and Sarah shared a microphone for the rest of their chat as they discussed the work of the trust, their acting roles and James' part in Netflix's The Crown, where he plays Prince Andrew.
It is not the only blunder the show has faced this week, after Holly and Phillip issued a heartfelt message to Ukraine - but fans were quick to spot a bit of a blunder with the show's virtual flags.
Whilst viewers liked that the presenters had paid tribute, some were a little confused that the flags were hanging upside down.
"Hey @thismorning! You should probably adjust those flags in the background to be the right way round. #ThisMorning," one wrote, as a second added: "You've only got 1 flag the right way round #thismorning."
