A mischievous Phillip Schofield was quick to expose the culprit after the This Morning crew suffered a rather mortifying accident on Thursday, involving a vase being smashed off camera.
Towards the end of the two and a half hour live show, Phillip and co-presenter Holly Willoughby were joined in the studio by Jon Favreau to talk about about Disney's Star Wars spin off, The Mandalorian, before launching into a quick game of Spin to Win. And then, in the closing moments of the show, the presenting pair welcomed consumer expert Bryony Blake, who talked them through the latest must have items on the This Morning 'Lust List.'
Bryony was flanked y an array of different products as she delivered the segment alongside Phillip and Holly, with items ranging from beauty bargains, to a new range of Heinz condiments. And she wrapped up her appearance with a look at the new homeware collection from former TOWIE star Billie Faiers, which included cushions and cocktail glasses.
One item ITV viewers didn't get to see was a vase and there was a reason for that, which became clear when Phillip explained that someone had smashed the vase, as footage of the broken pieces being swept up.
Bryony admitted that she thought something would end up being broken, while adding: "He tried so hard to save it!" She didn't actually name the This Morning crew member responsible for the broken vase, but, clearly on the wind up, Phillip was much more forthcoming, adding: "It was Matt who dropped it. He dropped it and you heard him drop, then kick it two or three times in the air. It took hours for it to smash!"
The vase accident was the third mishap to happen in Thursday's This Morning. Moments after cameras started rolling Josie Gibson set off an alarm as she broadcast from a caravan show in Birmingham and then, just over an hour later, Holly was forced to walk off set after erupting into a coughing fit.
