Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby struggled to continue with Thursday's This Morning after the show was interrupted for Boris Johnson' address to the nation in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
At the start of the show, Phillip's co-host Holly Willoughby told viewers to expect interruptions due to the unfolding events in eastern Europe.
This Morning was delayed by a few minutes due to an ITV news bulletin bringing an update from Kiev and, when Holly and Phillip appeared on screen, she said: "Now, as you might have noticed, there's a slightly different schedule on ITV this morning.
"We'll be bringing you the latest on the situation in Ukraine via our colleagues at ITV News at both 11 o'clock and also at mid-day."

The interruption at 12 ending up being for a message to the nation from the prime minister, with his reaction to the military attacks ordered by Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Johnson's message ended with him saying: "We're joined in our outrage by friends and allies across the world.
"We will work with them for however long it takes to ensure the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine is restored; because this act of wanton and reckless aggression is an attack on not just on Ukraine, it's an attack on democracy and freedom in eastern Europe and around the world.
"This crisis about the right of free, independent European people to choose their own future and that is a right that the UK will always defend."
As the news bulletin ended, camera returned to the This Morning studio where a very sombre looking Phillip and Holly were sat on the sofa.
Phillip said: "Welcome back. Obviously it's incredibly difficult to carry on in a lighter mood after what we've just seen.
"Really, quite serious words, unprecedented words from the prime minister."
He added: "But we will carry on as that's what we always do," as Holly remarked: "Yep. That's what we do."
Studio guest Sam Hyuen, also sat on the sofa, looked downbeat as he prepared to be interviewed, before Phillip and Holly crossed to the Loose Women studio, with host Kaye Adams revealing they'd too be bringing the latest news from Ukraine, while trying to provide a welcome distraction as well.
