This Morning's Phillip and Holly startled by couple's 'loud sex noises' at start of show

This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left taken aback in the opening minutes of Thursday's show as loud sex noises were played live on air.

As they have been for every day so far this week, the presenting duo were at the helm of the ITV show as it kicked off another episode. But, in a shock to them and many viewers watching at home, things took a bit of a turn not too long after the opening titles had rolled on the programme, thanks to a couple who appeared on screen reveal neighbours had complained about their 'loud' sex.

The Somerset couple joined Holly and Phillip live via video link, rather aptly from the bedroom of their home, to claim they'd never had anyone take issue with the volume of their sex before, Phillip told them: "We've had a neighbour who said you're louder than a lawn mower," but defiantly the man replied: "What she forgot to tell the journalist was that she's actually got a battery lawnmower so it's not that loud," as Holly quipped: "No, not very loud at all."

The woman then joked: "We can't even make the sound of a lawnmower!"

The interview with the couple went a step further when Phillip revealed that the couple had 'supplied an audio tape,' which was in the hands of the This Morning producers in the gallery. The presenter then explained that the show had put steps in place to ensure that viewers wouldn't hear the sex noises, but he and Holly would through their ear pieces.

A startled Holly asked him: "Do we want to do this?!" Viewers then became immediately aware of the sounds being played to the hosts as Phillip's jaw dropped, with Holly following suit and remarking: "Right! Got it, got it! That's definitely all I need to hear, thank you very much!"
