This Morning's Josie Gibson suffers live blunder as she lands glamorous new job on ITV show

Josie Gibson was back on This Morning in a glamorous new role on Thursday, as fans of the presenter continue to plead with ITV to give her 'more chances,' on the show, even though she made a glaring error on camera.

While Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby continue to be the main presenting duo on the daytime show, this year has seen an increase in the number of other hosts getting a chance to front the programme, with Phillip and Holly both being off for weeks with Covid, Holy taking time off to film Freeze the Fear for the BBC and them both taking holidays for half term and Easter.

Josie earned herself some rave reviews from regular viewers of This Morning after she teamed up with Vernon Kay to host, with some fans going as far as saying that they were 'the future of the show,' while newcomer Craig Doyle sparked a similar response when he joined forces with Alison Hammond to front the show.

Last week, Rylan Clark let slip that he would be making a shock return the show for a week in the summer, to team up with Ruth Langsford, after her husband Eamonn Holmes quit ITV for GB News. But, seeing Josie on screen again on Thursday, had plenty of viewers fighting her corner to get more opportunities as main host.

Josie was This Morning's roving reporter on the third day of this year's Royal Ascot, broadcasting live to Phillip and Holly from the famous race meet as it geared up for Ladies Day. But it was when talking about a woman called Emma, who was on her hen do at Ascot, that Josie suffered the live on-a-r blunder, saying to her future mother-in-law: "You've waited two years for your son to make an honest man out of Emma."

This Morning viewers, who are always swift to react to anything going wrong on the show, were quickly on Twitter to respond to the ex Big Brother winner's error, with one posting: "haha Josie …. You’ve waited 2 years for your son to make an honest MAN out of Emma … lol very modern."

A second tweeted: "'You've waited 2 years for your son to make an honest MAN out of Emma' HAHAHHA I love Josie so much," and another speculated:. "Maybe Josie is tipsy already:"
