This Morning's Josie Gibson made three changes to lose six stone

Josie Gibson was the first This Morning star to co-present the show with Holly Willoughby when she made her return last week.

Josie, 38, has had a TV career spanning more than a decade, after winning Big Brother back in 2010. One of the most likeable winners of all time, she never faced the public vote once. She joined This Morning as a competition announcer in 2019 and had her first presenting gig in 2021.

She began appearing regularly as a co-host and does many of the show's segments that are filmed outside the studio.

Josie has also opened up on how she shed six stone, Birmingham Live reports.

Josie has released a number of diet books and DVDs and revealed that she lost weight through a combination of "healthy eating and exercise" but, crucially, had put three major lifestyle changes into effect:

  • improving her sleeping pattern
  • drinking more water
  • doing 30-45 minutes of exercise at least three times a week

Josie has spoke candidly about her weight in the past, saying she "handles stress [by] eating". In an Instagram video in 2021, she said she had gone from a size 14 to a size 18 due to the pandemic and lockdowns.

She said: "I've always done it and I went up to a size 18. You just get to the point where you look in the mirror and don't even recognise who you're looking at any more."

The clip also showed the TV personality trying on a pair of size 14 jeans and when she fastened them she said she was "so happy".

Josie released a healthy living book in 2014, The Josie Gibson Diet: Love Food, Get Slim, Stay Slim, which detailed her weight loss journey. She said then that she believed getting rid of sugar from her diet had a huge impact on her health.

She said: "I knew I loved sugar, and had done since I was a child, but when I looked into exactly how much I consumed, I was shocked. My diet is totally sugar-free, other than naturally occurring fructose in whole fruit – and has been for nearly two years."
