This Morning's Josie Gibson gets expert parenting advice from co-star Alison Hammond

This Morning's Alison Hammond has been giving single mum Josie Gibson plenty of parenting advice as she navigates life with a toddler.

Josie and Alison struck up an unlikely friendship through working together for ITV, and it seems their relationship is just as strong when they are off the cameras as it is when they are on.

The former Big Brother star, 37, welcomed her son Reggie-James in September 2018 and he is now three-years-old, which means he is at the stage where he is becoming "naughty".

But with Alison on-hand, Josie is getting expert advice on how to cope when kids go through that stage.

"Oh my God, Alison is brilliant with him," Josie told New! Magazine. "Her son is older so she's done it all before. I said to her that Reggie was getting really naughty and she said, 'You've got to step it up now!'

"She told me I've got to stop laughing when he does [naughty] stuff. I can't tell him off - and he's really naughty because of it."

She added: "I'm like, 'Reggie, no!' but I'm laughing. And Alison will be like, 'No, Josie! You've got to put him on the naughty step'. And she tells me I have to stop laughing while I'm doing it otherwise he'll never learn."

In recent days, single mum Josie revealed she's open to the idea of dating, but on one condition - they pick up the bill.

She confessed she likes the idea of being wined and dined by a potential suitor and would enjoy a "little bit of attention" from a potential partner.

Josie told OK! Magazine: "It would be nice to be taken out for dinner by someone.

"But I couldn’t give them anything else. [Laughs] I just want someone to give me maybe a little bit of attention... And dinner!"

"But they’ve got to pay. But my son is too young. I’m really quite funny about that. I don’t like people in my son’s circle."

She added: "It’s hard because if you meet someone, you want to bring them into your life. But I can’t show them my life because I don’t want to put Reg at risk like that."

Asides from her relationship with the father of her child, Terry, Josie's most famous relationship in the public eye was back when she first rose to fame following her stint on Big Brother.

After winning the Channel 4 show back in 2010, the mum-of-one struck up a romance with fellow contestant John James Parton - after flirting intensely throughout their time in the house together.

The two reality stars dated in the outside world - with their relationship even documented in her spin-off show There's Something About Josie - but it wasn't to be.

Josie and the Australian star - who has since appeared on Love Island over in his home country - parted ways with a bitter break up in 2011.
