This Morning's Holly Willoughby urges co-stars 'not to ruin' show amid Prince Harry spat

Holly Willoughby issued a plea to guests Matthew Wright and Nick Ferrari and co-host Phillip Schofield not to make the rest of the show 'a misery' as they clashed on This Morning on Wednesday, in a disagreement over Prince Harry and the coverage of his explosive new book.

For the second day in succession, the Duke of Sussex's memoir Spare became a big talking point on many breakfast TV shows, including This Morning, with host Phillip revealing that he'd listened to 'the first 10 chapters' on audio book, narrated by Harry himself.

Prior to its release on Tuesday, Spare had already hit headlines across the world thanks to revelations that came out of it and various interviews to promote the book, including claims of an alleged altercation between Harry and Prince William and Harry saying he killed 25 members of the Taliban, during his time in the army.

The latter proved to be divisive as journalists Matthew and Nick joined Holly and Phillip, with Matthew questioning why Harry was now being criticised for making the Taliban claims, given he was 'hailed as hero' when the same thing was reported years earlier. Nick strongly disagreed with Matthew as the former Wright Show host said the bigger issue should have been with the Government's action during the war in Afghanistan.

As things calmed, Phillip recalled a bit of Harry's book that made an impression on him, where the Duke of Sussex writes about a fraught meeting with father Charles and brother William, hours after Prince Phillip's funeral in 2021. Harry claims now King Charles said to him and William 'please don't make my last few years a misery boys.'

Matthew shot back: "Making it all about him! Why can't he pick up the phone? There's the problem. 'Don't make my life a misery; isn't it a two way street as a father? What about your son's feelings?"

Phillip replied: "We don't know..." as Holly then interrupted. Throwing her hands up in the air and looking at both Matthew and Phillip, Holly said: "Listen, guys please, don't make the rest of this show a misery," as Matthew quipped: "Give him a hug Charles, give him a hug!"
