This Morning's Holly Willoughby 'terrified' on set in unseen moment as unexpected guests arrive

Holly Willoughby was left 'terrified' in the This Morning studio on Tuesday as a rather unexpected guest startled her in a moment that viewers didn't get to see on screen.

Fronting their second show of the week, as other ITV daytime shows were pulled to make way for Cheltenham racing coverage, Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield stuck to their usual format to discuss the big news stories of the day and play a game of This Morning's often chaotic game Spin to Win. But, something viewers at home didn't expect to see was the two presenters being joined in the studio being joined on set by some farmyard animals.

Earlier on in the two and a half hour live broadcast, Holly and Phillip had crossed live to fan favourite Josie Gibson who was on a farm to present a segment on the start of lambing season. However, it wasn't just Josie who was getting up close and personal with animals as, when the camera cut back to the studio, her colleagues had been joined in the green room by a sheep and two lambs.

Their handler agreed to let the hosts name the lambs after their mums, in honour of it being Mother's Day this week, before the show went to adverts.

However, as cameras went back onto Holly and Phillip, Phillip revealed that Holly had been left seriously unnerved by something that happened during the break.

As Holly confessed that she was 'a big old wimp,' Phillip remarked: "I wish we'd got a camera on when we finished the item and the sheep actually got you in the corner."

Holly explained: "It actually did. It got me in the corner and went 'maaah' breathing hot sheep breath straight into my face and it did make me a little bit jumpy!"
